MODERN CONTEMPORARY
Project X
Project X is a refined expression of contemporary architecture, conceived as a seamless dialogue between built form and its natural surroundings. Designed by John Maniscalco, the project reflects a careful balance of restraint, material richness, and spatial clarity.
Completed in 2025, this 1,468 m² residence is organized as a series of low-profile volumes that follow the contours of the landscape. Expansive overhangs, deep terraces, and floor-to-ceiling glazing dissolve the boundaries between interior and exterior, allowing light, vegetation, and distant views to become integral elements of the architecture.
Premium materials are central to the project’s identity. Rich timber ceilings and bespoke wall cladding introduce warmth and tactility, while natural stone and dark metal accents provide weight, contrast, and permanence. These materials are not decorative, but architectural—used to anchor the building to its setting and elevate everyday moments. The result is an interior atmosphere that feels calm and refined, seamlessly extending outward through expansive decks, walkways, and landscaped terraces into a cohesive, immersive living environment.
