Modern Contemporary
LVD
LVD is less a single house than a sequence of experiences unfolding downhill.
Designed by Studio Saxe and completed in 2025, the 1,587 m² residence is choreographed through movement rather than symmetry.
Arrival is compressed and controlled, while views gradually expand toward forest and ocean.
Bridges and stairways become moments of pause, framing landscape as part of daily circulation.
Material transitions—from concrete to timber to vegetation—mark shifts between public and private zones.
Architecture acts as infrastructure for climate, using shade, airflow, and mass instead of excess technology.
Outdoor rooms are not additions, but the primary living spaces.
LVD ultimately functions as a habitable topography, where living is defined by motion, light, and terrain.
