Casa Kefran

Rome wasn't built in a day, but this home was (well…almost)!  Prefabricated walls, assembled on site, enclose a charming and highly livable residence.

The idea behind Casa Kefran is an easily replicated home with a basic perimeter wall structure that a client can customize by distributing the interior space as desired.

The finished 2BR/1BA home comprises 860sf of living area.  8-foot vaulted ceilings and an open roof panel provide cross-ventilation and impart a feeling of spaciousness.   Even without A/C, the home is quite comfortable, and rolling shutters can be lowered during the day to provide extra shade.  The wall panels, complete with insulation and wood siding, were constructed at FRAME’s factory while the foundation was being laid.  They were then delivered to site and assembled in a matter of hours, and within 2 days the home was completely under roof.  Total construction time for the home was under 3 months.
